Viscous flow fields in hyperelastic chambers

Viscous flows in hyperelastic chambers are relevant to many biological phenomena such as inhalation into the lung's acinar region, and medical applications inflation of a small chamber minimally invasive procedures. In this work, we analytically study viscous flow elastic deformation created due spherical from one or two inlets. Our investigation considers shell's constitutive law coupled with dynamics inside chamber. For case narrow tube filling larger chamber, pressure within involves large spatially uniform part, small-order correction. We derive closed-form expression for dynamics, accounting effect bistability. Interestingly, obtained distribution shows that maximal on chamber's surface is greater than at entrance The calculated series solution velocity fields during verified by using fully finite element scheme, resulting excellent agreement. results allow estimation resistance different pressures, thus enabling us model process deflation.
